Bear ye one another’s burdens…
Many of us are presently going through some really tough times… Let us pray that God will make a way for all of us to take the time to talk with each other more… to share each others burdens.

Recently, I have been going through a very difficult period of my life: things were on the verge of falling apart for my family and me. It seemed we had gone through storm after storm (financially)… and then came the whopper. We were taking on water and sinking fast. And just like the disciples, I wondered whether Jesus even cared…
God the Father has provided a structure for how husbands relate to their wives. Moreover, He models this structure through His own relationship with Christ the Son. The structured relationship between God the Father and Christ the Son did not diminish Christ; rather, through it Christ gained mankind’s salvation and was exalted. Similarly, the structured relationship between husband and wife does not diminish the wife. Rather, in it she is her most productive, and by it she glorifies God, and is herself exalted.
We will only follow a leader that we believe knows more than us, otherwise we will go off on our own path because we believe we know better. Likewise, it is only when we accept God’s sovereign knowledge as superior to our own that we will follow Him.
To give thanks when life is falling apart means that we believe that God is working behind the scenes to bring about the best results for us… even though we can’t understand how.
Instead of life being all about me, life must be all about Jesus. And, as a channel of Jesus’ love and mercy, I cannot allow MYSELF to become clogged up with MY SELF.
As we read God’s word, we get to know Him better. As we know God more, we know His will more. As we know God’s will more, we better know how to pray according to His will. And… when we pray according to God’s will, our prayers are… answered affirmatively.
Rather than seeking a redeemer to bring us justice because we think we are right (and God is wrong), we need to seek The Redeemer who brings us mercy because we know God is right (even when we don’t understand).
If traditions can’t save us, then traditions can’t keep us saved. Therefore, we don’t have to worry about keeping up appearances…
Giving when we don’t even have much to give means that we are willing to secure someone else’s future before we secure our own; that we will put them in the lifeboat, while we stand on the sinking ship.
