Is God Your Hiding Place and Your Shield?
We can’t legitimately call on God to hide and shield us if we won’t listen to Him or obey Him.

Believers must remember that God has a plan for each of us. Therefore, while we are walking in His will there is nothing that can prevent that mission from being accomplished. God protects us so that we can accomplish His purpose for us.
Lay hold of me with Thy strong grasp,
Let Thy almighty arm
In its embrace my weakness clasp,
And I shall fear no harm.
…God’s faithfulness depends on His righteousness, not ours. Therefore, we have hope.
Believers, there is an army of angels protecting us at every instant. Let us, therefore, not walk around in fear.
God cares for sparrows and the number of hairs on our heads; He certainly has His all-seeing eye on us, knows what we are going through, and will carry us through our trials to the other side!
…our faith in God may be tested to the ultimate. How will we come out on the other side of difficult situations? Will we emerge from our troubles and trials giving Christ the victory for having clung to Him and the promises in His Word?
Sometimes God chooses to let us walk through the storm so that we can learn that He will never leave us or let a situation be more than we can handle with His help. And sometimes He just plain steps in and fixes everything better than we could possibly have dreamed. Sometimes it happens in a moment, sometimes after years of patient waiting. We’ll never see it if we don’t let Him work, if we don’t step back in faith and let God be God.
Is there some “enemy” pressing in on you today? Do you feel as though the opposition is about to crush and destroy you? Does everything seem hopeless? Take heart, child of God! With the Lord on your side, you are never outnumbered.
As we go about our lives, making decisions about finances, health, relationships, employment, education and family (to name a few) let us call on our God, let us seek His face, let us search out His will. Life is a struggle and we can’t see all the dangers ahead; it is difficult to know what choices to make. Truly, we have no hope of surviving on our own. But God is faithful: if we live by faith He will make our feet like hinds’ feet so that our steps are assured and we can escape to safety. If we trust in God, He will make our feet surefooted so that we can escape the wiles of the devil.
