Teach me Lord
Lord, help us to have a hungry heart
And long for the joys you will give,
If only we’ll spend quiet time with You,
In Your Book we’ll learn how to live.

What are you bumping into along life’s journey? Turn on the light of the word of God.
Let us keep our focus squarely and continually on the Word of God. Let us not be deceived by the opinions of men, or the lures of the devil. Let us affix the Word of God in our hearts, so that we can be rooted, steadfast, in His Will.
“I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.” ~ Philippians 3:8
Spiritual knowledge of Christ will be a personal knowledge. I cannot know Jesus through another person’s acquaintance with him. No, I must know him myself; I must know him on my own account.
Yes, it is true that many dangerous diseases can be transmitted through direct or indirect contact. But, while germs may harm the body, sin and sinfulness definitely harm the soul; making us unclean, defiled, before a pure and holy God… just as accumulated germs will eventually make our bodies sick, an accumulation of ‘sin germs’ will eventually make our souls, hearts and minds sin-sick too. We MUST wash them away regularly with God’s Word!
If we indeed intend to heed God’s call to service, let us then commit ourselves to sanctification: to being washed by His Word. Let us determine to study God’s Word that He might set us apart unto Himself, for His use ONLY.
