Why was there was no room at the inn for Joseph and Mary about to give birth to Jesus? Joseph and Mary had found favor with God. They had accepted God’s will for their lives and were humbly performing the tasks set before them. Why didn’t God prepare a nice comfortable room for them in Bethlehem?
Perhaps God has humbled you lately. Perhaps you have lost your job, or lost your house, or lost your health, or lost your savings… While this can be quite painful, difficult and bewildering, perhaps God is preparing to speak a message to you that you are just now prepared to hear.
And there in a cave, in a cradle of hay,
Our Savior was born on that first Christmas Day!
The Father was watching in heaven above,
He sent for His angels, His couriers of love.
