Glory to God Only Wise!
God’s wisdom and knowledge are infinite. Who knows enough to argue with God? Who is wise enough to give God counsel?

We must fight to maintain God’s truth in our local congregations. We must oppose those who would claim to have knowledge and authority beyond that which is given to us in the Bible.
Intellectuals often say, “When we know, we will do.” Jesus taught, “No, when you do you will know.” According to Jesus, when you apply His teaching to your life you will know by the way the truth He teaches changes your life that His teaching is not the teaching of a man but the very teachings of God.
The Bible is available to us and every Believer has the Holy Spirit as a guide. The challenge is whether we will use the tools God has provided us with; or if we will continue to refuse to study His Word. The choice is ours. Will we be simple? Or, will we be prudent?
The wise man fears (respects, reveres, and lives in awe of) God. He looks to God for truth. So the wise man finds out what God says in His Word about life, about good and evil. And then the wise man does the good and departs from evil.
…Jesus never asks us to rely on our reasoning. Jesus wants us to comply to His commands, he wants us to step forward in faith. Will we obey Him?
David could encourage his son to trust in God, because David himself had a real relationship with God. He had experienced God for himself… David could go forth confidently, because he knew God personally.
…many of our fears concerning God arise from misconceptions due to cultural influences and/or a lack of knowledge of God’s WORD.
We will only follow a leader that we believe knows more than us, otherwise we will go off on our own path because we believe we know better. Likewise, it is only when we accept God’s sovereign knowledge as superior to our own that we will follow Him.
Mankind’s problem isn’t fundamentally one of knowledge. Rather the issue that besets the world is one of will. We know God exists, we know what is right. But will we seek God? Will we humbly accept His Way and His Salvation?
