FEAR NOT: Our God is (infinitely) Bigger
If our God, Jehovah, is our Healer, why do we fear illness/disease? If Jehovah is our provider, why do we fear poverty? If Jehovah is our shield, why do we fear our enemies?

…sometimes God does tell us to change course for a while. Sometimes God moves us away from what He had given us to do…. The challenge, for us, is to hear His voice… and trust His guidance as Jacob did.
The challenge for us is to believe, to accept in faith that God has not “let us down”, but rather that He is lifting us up and carrying us through the fire, the purifying fire that melts away all the dross, the impurities, from our lives…
1. Don’t miss the boat.
2. Try to remember that we’re all in the same boat.
3. Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark, you know…
…storms may arise, even when we are in the plain line of Christian duty. We should not be discouraged by the difficulty or trouble which comes and conclude that we are in the wrong path.
A Mighty Fortress is our God! When we abide in Him all that would distress us melts away, and the perfect peace that only He can provide comes into our hearts and gives us the strength to go on for Him! What a glorious position we have through Christ who has made us sons and daughters of God, and bestowed on us the peace that passes understanding.
We will only follow a leader that we believe knows more than us, otherwise we will go off on our own path because we believe we know better. Likewise, it is only when we accept God’s sovereign knowledge as superior to our own that we will follow Him.
From the beginning of time God has wanted the heart of mankind. He wants us to call on Him and come to Him in prayer, to seek His will, and trust Him in all things. When we do, He is always available to us, longing for all to look to Him and live. His arms are always open to any who will turn to Him. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance
They had no guarantee that they would survive the storm, BUT they could be absolutely sure that God controlled the storm and controlled their lives. They could be absolutely sure that as fierce as the storm raged, God’s love for them raged even more fiercely. No storm could ever blow them out of God’s mighty hand.
Sometimes God chooses to let us walk through the storm so that we can learn that He will never leave us or let a situation be more than we can handle with His help. And sometimes He just plain steps in and fixes everything better than we could possibly have dreamed. Sometimes it happens in a moment, sometimes after years of patient waiting. We’ll never see it if we don’t let Him work, if we don’t step back in faith and let God be God.
