When God calls on us, will we show up? Or will we be missing in action? Our responses to God reveal to us, and everyone watching, what we think of Him. Our responses will reveal if He really is our God. Our responses will reveal whether we believe He is good, fair, just, and worthy of our love.
As I grew spiritually I realized that I was created to worship God. Everything else is secondary and can wait. Life was never about me at all, it’s all about God. David confessed his sins to God unreservedly, without excuse, and sought forgiveness. But David didn’t stop there. For him, forgiveness was not “enough”…
“I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.” ~ Philippians 3:8
Spiritual knowledge of Christ will be a personal knowledge. I cannot know Jesus through another person’s acquaintance with him. No, I must know him myself; I must know him on my own account.
