Consider HIM
When I track my weary way,
When fresh trials come each day,
When my faith and hope are dim,
Then, my soul, consider Him.
When I track my weary way,
When fresh trials come each day,
When my faith and hope are dim,
Then, my soul, consider Him.
Spiritual health is critical to our physical well-being. Therefore, it is important that we allow God to govern our hearts and that we protect what enters our hearts. Scripture tells us to put our hope/trust in God, not in man (Psalm 118:9, 146:3).
We must never think that God treats the death of one of His own casually.
Laugh, and the LORD laughs with you;
Weep, for you’re not alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But you can have the joy from God’s throne.
To get out of difficulty, one must usually go through it!
Without troubles, we easily wander away from God and slip into the illusion of self-sufficiency. But the difficulties of life sharpen our focus on God and heighten our sensitivity to His loving touch.
It is while our hearts are ripped open and raw from sorrow that God can finally reach past the barriers to touch the core of our being.
