The Heavens Declare that God is Near
God’s wondrous works: the harmony of everything in the universe, declares, shouts, that He is near. God is not far away so that we can’t reach Him or know Him.

When God blesses us, let us not praise ourselves or our strengths/abilities. Instead, let us praise and GIVE THANKS to Him.
“How does a mother bury her fourth child?” “How does a father go home without a job to return to and with bills to pay?” But we know God IS good. We know He has made a way for us. We know that even when we are faithless, He IS faithful.
To submit to God’s judgments, especially when we find them painful, requires a heart that if focused on God rather than our selves. It requires a heart that is preoccupied with God’s holy will and purpose: A heart that is more interested in what God is trying to accomplish than what we want to enjoy.
Oh let us GIVE THANKS to God for salvation and for the unity of the brethren and for the testimony to which we are called. AMEN!
To give thanks when life is falling apart means that we believe that God is working behind the scenes to bring about the best results for us… even though we can’t understand how.
“True thankfulness is more than being grateful for what we possess. It’s an attitude that permeates our relationship with the Lord so that we may serve Him with gladness and joy.” ~ Gladly
Fast from discontent; Feast on thankfulness.
Fast from worry; Feast on trust.
Fast from anger; Feast on patience.
Fast from self-concern; Feast on compassion for others.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards… I am thanking You now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better… I am thanking You now.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears… I am thanking You now.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves… I am thanking You now.
For the Christian, thanksgiving is not just a day but a way of life.
